How to generate an API Token
Chris Jones explains how you can generate an API token with the help of the Clientshare team to get access to your data in a variety of ways.
Transcript:
Chris: You can enable our built in API integration within your Pulse organisation and help extract key Pulse data like your client feedback and scores. To enable this you'll need to speak to one of the Clientshare team and they can assist you with getting this up and running for your Pulse organisation.
Once you have this enabled, to access the API authentication key you'll need to have access to organisation settings which can be through an admin or an owner. Once you land on the API authentication page as you see on screen, You'll be presented with an API token field, which will be blank to generate a key.
Select the generate option here, and this will generate your API token which can be copied and stored locally. Once it has been generated after a few minutes, it will be password protected, as you can see here. If you lose it for whatever reason, or need to regenerate it. Click the Regenerate option.
This will generate a new token, which you'll then be able to copy. However, it will make the previous token null and void. So make sure this is not using any or being used for any current reports. You'll be able to see when the token was generated by the date at the top. And then once you're happy, it will go back to being password protected.
Thanks for listening.
